Absolutely spectacular location. Private except for the occasional car passing on the land owners driveway. Very accommodating host. Tent needs updating, but otherwise hugely satisfied. Swimming was exceptional after you get past the rocks near the shore. You definitely need good water shoes. My first Tentrr and I could not be happier.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Riverhouse Farm location. It was very easy to find with GPS and the directions that the Campkeeper, Richard, supplied. You cannot drive into the camp but there's only a small walk from the top of the slight hill down into the camp so carrying your supplies into the camp is not too bad. Richard showed up a few minutes after we arrived and showed us around the campsite and gave us the information that we needed. He is very nice and their house is only right up the road if you need anything. We were supplied with 3 gallons of water and were welcome to walk up to the house and get more if wee needed. The campsite was the perfect size for the 2 of us and the privacy is great. There was only the occasional car driving by but the campsite is located down from the road so you barely even noticed. It was very hot while we were there so it was very nice to have the river right there. Getting down to the river was a little tricky because it's a bit of a steep drop down that was slippery and muddy. Because of that it was also a little tricky getting back up. We brought floats with us and tethered ourselves to the shore and used bags with rocks to anchor ourselves in the water. It was relaxing and refreshing. The "camp loo" is set off a bit from the main campsite on the side but is not completely private. Anyone walking around the campsite can easily see you doing your business. Not an issue if you're with your family but if you were sharing the site with friends it may get a little awkward! There were no backs on the benches at the picnic table (as seen in pictures) but that wasn't a huge deal for us because we hardly ever used it. The firepit and grill were everything we needed to cook our meals. We brought our own camping chairs but the Adirondack chairs on the deck in front of the tent were great and you can't beat the view. The tent itself is a great size... it's nice to be able to stand up and have some room to move around. You can tell it's been there for awhile... the outside canvas could sure use a good cleaning. There are queen size bunk beds that were clean and had clean mattress protectors on them (you supply your own linens and pillows). The only negative thing here is that they were THE LOUDEST beds we had every slept in. My husband doesn't like air mattresses to begin with and it's even worse if the two us try to sleep in one together so we slept in separate bunks but every time you moved the air mattresses would rub against the wooden bed frame making them so loud. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep the first night. My husband actually opted to sleep in his own hammock that we brought (with a bug net), the second night and I stayed in the tent. I only mention this in case you are planning on using both bunks... bring ear plugs for everyone! We would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone. The privacy and having the river right there was GREAT! We will definitely be back again. Thank you Richard and Mary for sharing your land with everyone!

The Riverhouse Farm was a great outdoor experience. It was a great hot day to splash around in the water! Which turned into a breezy night, and a bit of unexpected extra chilliness in the early morning hours! Bring an extra blanket, even in mid August. The camp site was nice and clean.

Such a fun weekend away! So much to do in the area and the camp keeper was kind, attentive and responsive without being intrusive. We will definitely return!

The location was nice. We could have done without the giant hill it was a bit dangerous in the dark. Also if you're looking to swim this is not a good campsite for you it is right off the river but there are many slippery rocks and it's very shallow for some distance out into the middle. Where there's lots of seaweed it's really not the ideal place for swimming. If you're just looking to tie off a raft and get some sun then it's be perfect! Richard the camp guide was extremely nice and very helpful.

This site is very nice, right on the river. Its great for swimming with kids as its not very deep. Bring your tube or floats to relax. Fishing is good we caught several bass right in front of the site. Richard was a great host very attentive and fast to respond.
