“Bought my CB1000R new in 2010 with a view to running it for a couple of years then changing it for something else. I still own it & will never part with it. I’ve added a host of extras over the years including givi luggage to go touring - comes off when I’m not touring to restore the looks. I’ve covered most of Scotland & a load of Europe without a single mechanical issue. I maintain & clean the bike meticulously which coupled with the Honda build quality has ensured it still looks great. The short wheelbase & relatively light weight make it a joy to ride - Swiss alps are outrageous fun on it. There are faster naked bikes but the re-tuned fireblade engine is silky smooth, practicle & plenty powerful for my needs. Great all-rounder in my view & it’ll be coming to the retirement home with me when the time comes :-)”
“It's a good bike to use after a fireblade which is a hard act to follow, you have a lot of low down power but not the top end of the blade but in the real world more fun to ride”
