“Bought my 'bike six years ago with 11,000 miles on the clock.
This August she'll be 25 and have clocked over 44,000 miles.
Apart from the usual issue of voltage regulator packing in (which lead to much panic with fumes and then (small) flames issuing from unit) the bike has proved to be nothing but reliable.
The bike is obviously a toy so fuel consumption hasn't been high on my list of priorities but hasn't seemed particularly excessive.
As for tyres, I'm about to replace Michelin Pilot 3's with the same after covering over 10,000 miles. I have great respect for these tyres; they warm up quickley and are really good in the wet.
Although I don't teararse around on the bike neither do I nurse the it.
