This is the summary of that breed of motorcycle, the Sports Tourer. The Sprint ST summed it all up. Was it good at touring? It was ok... Was it a cracking sports bike? It was ok.... Was it the most comfortable sports bike, while being the most charasmatic and exciting tourer? Absolutely, and that's what these bikes are all about. That combination is hard to find these days but the Sprint ST is mild-mannered thug dressed up in an expensive suit.

It's an all round bike. Comfy yet sporty. Been all over the continent on her. Attracts loads of attention.

Swapped my ZX12r for the Triumph purely because there is no hard luggage for the ZX. So far I've been pleasantly surprised with the ST. It hasn't got the grunt of the ZX but performs well and is very comfortable. Hard luggage is great and returning 50+ to the gallon makes it a good tourer even 2 up. In summary well worth the cheap money that they are regularly for sale at.

I like sports-tourers. The Triumph Sprint ST 1050 had the best reviews by far. It replaced my old BMW r1100RS. It is undoubtedly quicker, but otherwise no better than the old bike. I'm also less confident in the handling and reliability.
