The only thing is the mirrors position for which I find my arms to be in the way of the rear view, also, with any fast speed they 'shake'. Don't let that sway you though, a brilliant machine that's always thirsty for more.

What can you say, best sports tourer of its generation. Few minor issues with rectifier but its not the end of the world. Engine is a modern masterpiece, sweet revving powerful and economical in a quality chassis. Factory panniers are naff and worth changing to givi and headlamps worthy of a moped but easily fixed. All in all a great bike with dedicated owners.

bought the 2008my as a replacement for my suzuki gsxr1000k1 which i had run for eight years. for touring thr gixer was painful. for the first year with the sprint i was very disapointed with its performance for a 1000cc bike, basically no go when needed on overtakes. visiting various triumph forums pointed out that triumph had gone for top speed (who needs 150 mph when it take hours to get there) and mpg / emissions control. changed front sprocket to 17 , rear to 45 and new chain. now that simple mod transformed this slug into a decent SPORT tourer. love the sprint now, evening summer rides, ingleton, hawes, sedburgh to kirkby lonsdale, can make visiting the iom pointless.

The Sprint ST is the most comfortable bike I have ridden. two up through France with full lugage, 200miles a day no problem. 35 MPG on average. Motorways or side roads good road holding and plenty of power if required. For anybody touring I would highly recommend a Sprint ST.
