My YBR is not meant to be competing with the bigger powerful motorcycles. However for a small bike it is great and looks good. Very fuel efficient runs well, low tax and insurence and has done long journeys without any complaint although not the most comfortable after a while. When I went home to Belfast I travelled around Ireland with a pillion!! before bringing the back back over to England. I Love my YBR.

The only thing I don't like about the YBR is the tubeless tires, everything else is good and reliable but word of warning, purchase from reputable outlets or you will pay more in the long run for spares. No bells, nothing flash it will get you from A to B and very good fuel economy will save you in the long run. Not too great in winter without appropriate tires fitted but my bike starts first time every time.

I use the bike to comute to work, approx 15 miles a day 5 days a week for the past 4 years. 14.800 miles in total. I have not been looking after it very well and it as been left outside in all weather. in the 4 years I have change the spockets and chain twice ,had a new rear tyre and a new spark plug.I think the bike is great valve and a cheap way to comute to work. I A full tank of petrol approx 11 pounds would last easy three weeks. If you are thinking of buying one from new look around for zero % interst which yamaha often do. Also check out the MT yamaha 125 a bit more expensive but worth it.

Bought it brand new. Sadly, I suffered a crash within the first 4 months of having it, and spent over a week in hospital with serious injuries. That being said, the bike still worked. Some things needed replacing, but overall it stayed together really well. Brilliant bike.
