Had two of these bikes, first a 2013 model and then a 2012 one. The newer one was noticeably more fuel efficient but didn't perform any differently. Took it on a 6 hour trip down to Wales on 1 tank of fuel (£7). Always suprises me with its speed, handles 60mph but feels tough on the engine after a while. Easy to maintain, tighten the chain and do oil changes myself no problem. Pair of new tyres £70. Handles well, accelerates well, lacks top end power but that's a problem for 125's in general. If you're only looking for a short term bike get an older one as they are built to keep on going, if you're keeping it for a few years go for a 2013+ model.

As most other reviews about the ybr say its a great little bike, does just what it should and seems vice free. Great fuel economy, comfortable, reliable and easy to maintain not that it ever needs much it just seems to go on and on. One word of warning use good fuel not old stuff it does not like old stale fuel runs poorly until new fuel is added. If yoiu are thinking about getting one do it you won't be disappointed.

Good bike, worth the money due to 0% finance but if I had the cash I would've bought a 2nd hand CBR125R for one reason, the tyres are slightly to small for my liking, even with the new decent set put on the bike it still lacks in the wet weather... Other than that it is a good learner bike, very durable and as long as you watch what your doing on those tyres you'll be fine.

Great bike never had a problem with it at all, you do get standard wear and tear but that is just something you solve when it happens. Overall great bike, just a little bit slow for me haha :)

i purchased my ybr 125 to use for commuting to and from my workplace. i have to say that i really like this bike. the controls and features are easy to use and the build quality is very good. i chose the white version which looks great and it is very economical to run. it costs me about ten pounds to fill the tank and it lasts around a month before i have to put more fuel in the tank, and i use it every day. as this is my first bike i cannot do a comparison with similar bikes, but if i need another bike in the future i will definitely go with yamaha. j marlow

The Yamaha 125 starts every time, amazes me with its frugal use of petrol and is an easy bike to ride. It has also impressed me that it can keep up with traffic and comfortably maintain the speed limits on all roads bar fast dual carriageways and motorways. It can actually reach 70mph by its own clock but the last ten mph takes a while and I am not sure it could do it up hill!
