Excellent bike for the price £1100 Handles nicely very economic cheap parts will definitely be looking at an MT125 next.

Absolutely great beginner bike, couldn't ask for more from it. Although I wish it wasn't a 125, love this bike just want more speed and overtaking ability.

Would prefer wider wheels and on long rides (1.5hr+) it aches

This is a great bike for learners and I recommend it to anyone starting out because of how it handles and how easy it is too use.

I bought a very cheap one that had been sat in a barn for 2 years growing rust. It's needed quite a lot of TLC to get it road worthy and when things do go wrong it's a nightmare because most of the screw heads are so rusty that they strip when you try and unscrew them. I'm currently in the middle of trying to remove a sheared bleed nipple from the front brake caliper! However, when it runs it's a great ride and performs really well for a small engined bike. The ride comfort is great which has led to the family phrase "it's got 99 problems but the shocks aint one". I would also say it's a great bike to get if you're wanting to learn a little about motorcycle maintenance as it's a fairly simple build and replacement parts are cheap and readily available.

It serves it's purpose as intended. It may lack a higher top speed and it may not be the best looking or have the best equipment but it runs, without fault. The engine is bulletproof and the bike goes from A-B every time with great miles per gallon of around 90. On a full tank (which costs under £12 to fill right up to the brim) it can do roughly 270 miles. Personally I'd like to buy another 125 before moving on to bigger bikes but as a beginners bike there's nothing more you could want. It's cheap to buy, cheap to insure and cheap to run.

It's good for a first bike, wouldn't buy brand new.
