For a first bike, at first I felt it was a little too big and heavy, but that feeling soon disappeared after a couple of rides. The bike gives you great confidence, especially through the corners and handles lovely. It's easy to ride at low or high speeds. For some perspective my R125 can do 72mph on level roads so its a very nimble and powerful learner bike, giving cracking enjoyment in abundance. The dashboard is very nice and simple and gives you all the essential info you need in a glance. It turns heads for sure and on a number of occasion people have complimented the bike. The suspension as standard is very nice and the breaks are as good as you can expect for a 125. The seat is a tad uncomfortable though and after an hour it starts to get unpleasant, I just stand up on the pegs for a few seconds and shift my weight around to cure the arse numbness. The bike excels on dry or damp roads, however when its heavily raining and the roads are drenched the bike feels a slippy especially at the rear and you have to be very careful when doing any breaking, go easy on the rear break or the wheel slides like a snake. That's easy enough to control however and experience soon gets rids of negative feelings about riding the bike in the wet. Parts are easy to find and buy at an ok price, but probably best not to crash this thing as its coated in layers of plastic panels, a low speed bang can damage 7 components easy and then that's a £400 bill to fork out. It's a learning curve if this is your first bike, but start at the deep end like I did and you wont regret it. The bike, not forgetting its only a 125, is top of its class for sure, its amazing fun to blast about on as the handling is so nice, but its also a joy to ride at slow speeds as well. I honestly love this machine and fair play to Yamaha for making such a great learner bike.

Lovely bike for getting around town and will happily sit in a dual carriage way at 70mph+. Looks great, very reliable and smooth. A perfect first bike for anyone wishing to get into bikes and perfect for local commutes. Very good and fuel and cheap to insure. No superbike by any means but definitely one of the best 125cc's on the market.
