Far exceeded my expectations, the bike was quite expensive fro a 125 (just under £3,000 for a 2010 plate with 9k on the clock) but as it's mint condition and they hold their value I should get most of that back when I upgrade. Of course being a 125 it's not fast, but I knew that before I purchased. The build quality, looks and reliability are excellent though, and I expected close to 100mpg on a good run but have averaged 116.1mpg over 2,813.0 miles (best being 122.1 and worst being 106.5 tracked with fuelly.com). Cheap to insure and run, pays for itself and will lead me on nicely to bigger and better things (R6 here we come). 100% recommended if you can afford the money up front (remember you'll likely get most of it back when you do move on!)

I no longer have my Yamaha yzf r125 but I had a 2013 one blue it was an amazing bike to ride and the speed was unbelievable I got 94 Mph out of my bike go past all other bike beating 300cc vespas it was like nothing before then the 2014 model came out it look like a R6 it had the new clocks and upside down forks and I really wanted it so I part ex my 2013 in and got the 2014 I then realise I didn't infact upgrade but I down graded as the bike tops out at 85Mph but still a quick bike as I will beat a 250cc vespa super sport these R125 are reliable and I would recommend the bike to anyone for as long as I live I loved my bike but then I was in a car crash which has now made me suffer from back pains so now leaning over the take made me no long enjoy my bike as it was ache my bike so I have now switch to a Yamaha MT125 ABS which is also an amazing bike and I would highly recommend this bike I have had 83Mph out of it And he handle is quality I am extremely confident on this bike and wouldn't change it for anything else but the MT family now 10/10 for Yamaha!!!

An amazing looking bike for 125cc, looks better than some of the more powerful bikes out there, however I realised after a few months that the price tag for a brand new model is a bit much for my first bike. It would have been a better idea to buy a second hand model for a much lower price, non the less it is still a very impressive bike and others on the road seem to think so too.

Yamaha have done it again! My dad has an r6 which is what made me want a yammy, the reliability, speed, handling (to name a few) are the qualities that you can rely on Yamaha for. I previously owned a Honda ns125-r and that was a fantastic bike but the r-125 just tops the list. Fast, aggressive, stylish and reliable. The perfect learner sports bike.

Good reliable 4-stroke. No problems with starting up with minus temperatures. Battery is great never had a problem. Engine could be a bit bigger for more unf but all in all , it's a great starter bike. Bike it self looks very modern.Spare parts are cheap except tires...What ever the weather, this bike will go on and on.
