“Wow! It is not often a company with 5 customer service and an 5 product comes along at a decent price point. I highly recommend this company and the product is 5 quality. I have not used the board yet as it is still winter however the board and accessories are high quality. If there were 6 stars, Thurso Surf deserves them!”

“The Thurso Surf board is a great product including everything in the package EXCPT the three (3) piece paddle. About a month after purchase, the lower section of the paddle fell off during an excursion and sank. This was noted in a product review on Amazon and a new paddle sent under warranty. As a result of this experience, I paid special attention to the paddle and hardware to assure it didn't happen again. Unfortunately, it did. During an extended paddle the lower section of the paddle again fell off and sank. All hardware was tight and in order prior to falling off. It would appear that water getting between the fitting acts as a lubricant and then separates the lower paddle section during paddling. This could be a safety issue if on a long paddle or far from land.Since this occurred again within a year of purchase, I would appreciate replacement paddle as well as a lower section, but not sure how to assure this will not happen again. This is a great package, but this paddle deficiency detracts from the package and is the reason for the average (3 start) review. If Thurso took care of this issue, the package would be five (5) star in my opinion.”

“Bought two 10.6 boards. I take both on road trips in the trunk with all the family's (5) bags and beach stuff. Really easy to inflate, deflate and load. Everyone who's tried it couldn't tell the difference from a hard board, nobody could believe it's an inflatable. Lots of compliments so far. Used it only in ocean with windy and choppy conditions and had no trouble at all. Has been great for beginners. Paddle is light, just be sure to learn how to tighten the clip and check it every time you assemble it. Fins are 3 quality and system is easy to use. Very nice leash and cooler. Bag fits everything easily. All the members of the family enjoy it. Live in an apartment and keep it in a closet.But the best thing is the customer service!!! Every email has been answered promptly and every trouble has had a solution. I did a lot of research and asked many questions, THURSO was the best service by far. Truly awesome!!!”

“The board itself is beautiful, stays rigid and tracks straight even in choppy seas. Stable around boat wakes and the grippy padding underfoot feels better than other boards I'd borrowed or rented before buying. Also, the wood grain graphic makes it interesting, looked great strapped on a boat deck last summer. The package mine came with (pump, carbon fibre paddle, insulated deck cooler, leash and a bag to carry it all in) makes the price better than anything else I came across. *I bought one of the nice 12V high pressure pumps to inflate easily, but found I could get by at the beach without much trouble using the manual one right up to the rated 15 psi.”

“I received this 11' paddle board in January 2018 for my birthday after having looked at all of the reviews on Amazon and also YouTube and of course outdoor/surfing magazines and websites. The box arrived precisely on time, just like when Amazon said it would. The day before it arrived, I received an email from Thurso Surf personally thanking me for my purchase and welcoming me to the Thurso family, while also giving some clear instruction for paddle board care and use.I opened up the box and was very impressed with the quality of all the accessories included; specifically the 3 piece carbon fiber paddle! I have very limited experience in paddle boarding, but every time I have gone, I have rented a board and paddle, and those plastic paddles get a little heavy after a while. This paddle is sleek, smooth, and light, with the Thurso logo prominently displayed. Truth be told, this was one of the most important factors of my purchase of this brand for my first paddle board, and I am not disappointed at all.All of the other accessories are nice and sturdy, with the board bag being a particular selling point. It's large and insulated to keep any drinks or food cool on a warm summer day. The leash is 10' and coiled, with a nice padded velco ankle section, so it won't get in the way as I learn how to maneuver my way around the SUP.I pulled out the board and unrolled it and WOW! It is really lovely to behold! The pictures on Amazon don't quite give it justice. The design of bamboo and walnut was probably the second most important factor in my decision to purchase this brand. It is gorgeous, and it's not some fluorescent crazy day-glo color that will distract me from seeing nature on my excursions.Finally, I put the pump to the test and inflated the board in my living room. The pump is nice and sturdy, and alternates easily between dual and single action. To get started, I used the dual action capabilities, which puts air in the board on the up and on the down stroke. After I had roughly 6-7 lbs. of pressure in the board, it was difficult to pull up, so I flipped the switch over to single action, which puts air in the board only on the down stroke, and finished the task. All told, it took me < 10 minutes to inflate the board to the 15 psi Thurso recommends. And it got my heart rate up!Since I am in Oklahoma, I don't expect that I will be able to get it out on the water for at least 3 months, so for the time being, I am waiting patiently, and practicing my core exercises with balance, hoping that I don't get near as wet flat water surfing as I did last year. Once I've had a few goes on the water, I will return to this review and give an update. The 3 news? There is a full two year warranty on the board, so I've got plenty of time to make it happen! So far, I'm totally impressed and in love.”
