“Great, lightweight board. It was shipped and arrived quickly in perfect condition which was much better than another similar board from another company which arrived damaged & needed to be returned. After just 1 weekend, the color strips are fading on the back part of the board but the integrity is solid. Pretty happy with the board and overjoyed to see my kiddo paddle out and catch some waves on his own power!”
“My first board was an 8ft South Bay. I got this, and I was very disappointed because catching waves seemed impossible. What beginner surfers need to know is that a lot of the foam beginner boards sort of reinforce surfing the wrong way. I was treating this board like a white wash catcher, which is what the 8ft South Bay was. My actual concept of what catching a wave was wasn't even correct. I started to realize how great this board was when I realized that you need to treat the waves like a downhill snowy mountain. You don't ride the already broken waves like you would with a lot of foams. You let the wave pick you up a little and then dip down into it, again like sledding or snowboarding down a hill. I now see that this board is perfect for transitioning me into an even lower volume 6.5 footer. This is the perfect board for taking you from beginner to intermediate. I am 200lbs so I always assumed I needed high volume, but with the correct technique volume becomes less of an issue.”
“The board came packaged well with no damages.My 9 yr old surfed it multiple times on the Oregon Coast and loves it! He caught his first breaking right green wave on it. He is about 5' tall and 70lbs . This board is perfect for beginners to advancing surfers. the quality of the board seams to be great so far.
