“Definitely has the typical characteristics of Nama and Genshu. Strong flavors, enjoyable to drink very cold, and I could even see drinking on ice. Understandably lacks complexity, but if you're drinking this for the experience of Genshu, you're probably alright with that.”
“Nice, clean taste. No real lingering aftertaste. Notes of rice and a nuttiness on the nose. Tasting motes are spot on. Cashew, Rice Pudding, and Fennel seem spot on. There is a spiciness up front, but it finishes smooth.”
“This is a nama 生酒 unpasteurized, genshu 原酒 undiluted (18.5% ABV) brew. It is also a ginjo, 精米歩合 rice polishing rate of 58%. It is not listed as a junmai 純米, so I assume that some brewer’s alcohol has been added. Nice sando 酸度 acidity. Serve this baby chilled and enjoy the smooth, viscous, almost creamy slippery taste of this delightful saké.
