Excellent sake, heftier and pairs better with foods than the daiginjo - for less money ! This will be a new staple

Clearly one of my favorite sakes on this entire website. First tried at Morimoto in Las Vegas, this became a go to for my home bar!

Wakatake makes fantastic sake, and this is the next step up from their Demon Slayer. I highly recommend this bottle as a nice treat for sake enthusiasts.

Dry but very flavorful. Usually drink this with spicy foods but just as good by itself.

I first tried the red bottle and decided to try this one and it has not disappointed. Very smooth and love the flavor.

Fruity and nutty! Pretty dry and delightful with almost anything.

It starts with a good and noticeable pear note upfront and finishes with a nice alcohol note. The body is a bit heftier than the daiginjo. It pairs fantastically with and holds its own against flavorful dishes without overwhelming them.

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for your detail review. Wakatake is so unique sake and I agree with you. This saker is kind xof dry sake, but you can feel light and clean. Therefore, it must be pair with some sushi or light seafoods. If you like this sake, I recommend Otokoyama which is also dry sake.
