Nihonsakari “Daiginjo” Reviews

This sake reminds me of good semi-dry white wine. It has a very nice fruity aroma. It is a bit too sweet for me but perfect for my wife.

This is a very flavorful and delicious sake. For me, Nihon Sakari Daiginjo compliments spicy dishes, and really tastes different depending on what you are serving it with. It paired well with milder dishes too. I really enjoyed eating fruit and sipping this sake. This combination brought out the more subtle flavors of the sake. I like mine served ice cold.

Hi James, Thank you so much for your review. Nihon Sakari “Daiginjo” is tropical sweet sake. It is really good for entry's sake. With a touch more dryness than average and a lower acidity you'll find this sake light and luscious

Out of the three bottles I ordered, this one was the best. It was flavourful and went down super smooth with a very delightful aftertaste. I was deeply saddened when the bottle was empty. Highly recommend.

While also very good, I found this Sake to be a touch on the sweet side and very rich, full bodied. As I prefer a drier Sake this would not be my first choice although it might pair well with a rich meal.

I prefer Sake over wine with dinner, due to its clean taste, but I find that many Sakes have little flavor and basically taste like diluted vodka. However I really enjoy Nihon Sakari because it has flavor that I can only describe as Umami - it tastes good and gives my pleasure - none of that nonsense about floral notes of citrus, tobacco, anise, etc that gives no real info.
