“This sake is absolutely delicious. Drinking it feels like biting into a ripe, juicy honeydew melon. There is a hint of citrus I tasted as well, which gives the flavor a nice edge. If you enjoy Born Gold, I recommend this one.”
“This was not at all what I expected. It is bright, acidic, and citrus fruity. It is still dry and relatively full bodied. Definitely more white wine like than a traditional sake. Would not recommend for someone looking for a ‘normal sake’, however if you are exploring what is possible, the by all means, give it a shot.”

“We enjoy exploring new sake through Tippsy. While we can appreciate what Senkin was going for in the Modern sake, it wasn't for us. It does has an effervescence that is unexpected, likely from the unfiltered and bottle fermentation. Agree with other reviewers that it has a strong fruit presence with melon coming through. Definitely different and similar to some dry white wines.

Senkin “Modern” Muku is a little fruity and has a melon flavor. If you want to drink dry sake, I recommend Otokoyama. Otokoyama is dry, but it is easy to drink and is a good sake.
“Sweet to the nose and was surprised by the carbonation in the sake. Was very delicious and pairs very well with fruit. Great way to begin the evening and leading into a nice dinner.

Yes, There is a lot of great sake in Tochigi. Tozai is also made in Tochigi, so I believe you will so much love tozai too!

Label says it is matured in the bottle, which may have imparted the carbonation. I wasn't sure if it was intended or not, but the label "Modern" suggests it might be deliberate. Was curious about this brand of sake and would not only get this bottle again, but would taste around other Senkin brews.”
