Kagatobi “Junmai Ginjo” Reviews

4.6 Rating 25 Reviews
Purchased as part of a Sake Box, and it’s a real winner. Nice fruity aroma with pear notes; nicely rich yet dry on the palate, with a clean yet slightly creamy finish. (And it matched well with a bowl of spicy tonkatsu ramen, too!)

got it from a sake box for taste. Like the dryness and a hint of sweetness.

This is a very good all-around Junmai. Well balanced flavor with a sweet entrance, but nice dry finish. We really enjoyed it, but not quite as much as the stellar Kagatobi Extra Dry, hence the 4 stars. The price is also great though, so I would still recommend if you are on the fence.

Thank you for your review, Robert! We appreciate your honest opinion and glad you had a pleasant time. This bottle is light and dry, and not as dry as Kagatobi "Ex Dry". If you would like the similar taste with different , we recommend you check out Kurosawa "Junmai" https://www.tippsysake.com/collections/rich-dry/products/kurosawa-junmai

Tied for my favorite of the 9 sakes I got from the tasting boxes. Loved it with a variety of sashimi and sushi, smooth, just enough umami. Could easily sip way too much of this!

Thank you so much for mentioning the food you had with Kagatobi "Junmai Ginjo"! It is very easy to sip because their clean flavor and bright finish, matches well certainly with Japanese food as you said! We are happy to hear you can't stop having a good time!!

We are happy to hear you really enjoy this sake, but do not drink it all in one sitting!

Very clean sake! It’s simple and light and nice cool, but not as refined or forward in its sweetness as Kagatobi’s “Ai”. I really enjoyed it! And a good price.
