Very clean sake! It’s simple and light and nice cool, but not as refined or forward in its sweetness as Kagatobi’s “Ai”. I really enjoyed it! And a good price.

I liked this one but despite its flamboyant, acrobatic, fire-fighting roots, it was on the slightly tamer side. The taste of #Kagatobi Junmai Ginjō was very balanced and gentle. Round and very much like water only fruited and spirited. I sensed pear and perhaps strawberry. I tried this chilled first. At room temperature, the flavor was grassier. I also tasted Kagatobi with brie, which brought out its sweetness. It was a very simple saké, without a lot of astringency or harsh flavor. There was a stillness to it, which could be great as a balm for my hot temper!

Light and smooth, very easy to drink. Fruity but not over-powering.

My wife's new favorite. Seriously even balanced, beautifully dry with just a hint of sweetness. No aftertaste. If you like relaxing while munching on crunchy hot wasabi peas, this is THE sake for you.

This is a very nice sake. The nose is reminiscent of cucumbers. The taste is fresh and bright with a nice clean finish. This is a sake to be enjoyed with a meal or on its own. Will definitely buy again.

When asked by others what does Sake' taste like I find it difficult to discribe. Each sip tastes a little different to me which makes for a great experience. Kagatobi is also one that I would recommend. View a video on how they make Sake'. I think you will be impressed by the great details involved. Chill some nihonshu for the weekend, put on some traditional Japanese music and enjoy the experience.
