Drinkable. Flavor is too delicate, being overwhelmed by sour and bitter notes. I desperately want some sweetness or melon notes to develop in the finish, but I'm left with a metallic, tart emptiness.

You want a little sake on a weeknight? Night Swim. You want to pack something for the train home? Night Swim. Having a picnic and you want to be discreet? Night Swim. Pairs with everything thanks to its fruity but crisp profile. Throw it in the freezer for 15 before drinking for best effect.

This is my go-to sake for bringing to a lake in the summer. It is best when cold (the taste gets a bit harsher as it warms up), and it is perfect for floating on the lake in a boat or going for a swim.

Great size but nothing overwhelmingly great. Drinkable but there is definitely better out there at a similar price point.

When I purchased this, I was worried I'd taste the can. But I was pleasantly surprised that the sake was light and pleasant with no residual aluminum flavor. The 180ml is a perfect size for a little sake treat without needing to share a bottle or drink it over a couple days.

I have tried a couple Tozai sakes and, in my opinion, they are acceptable but nothing to rave about. I LOVE that these come in individual cans which was the selling point for me. They have a slight alcohol taste with no umami flavor that I can tell. I might consider buying this again since they come in cans or for use in a cocktail.
