“The packaging is pretty, but it feels like that's what you are paying for as there are sake with similar qualities over $10 cheaper. That said, it is a nice light sake and if you are hosting guests the bottle will be sure to impress. Just maybe don't serve it to those who really enjoy sake for it's complexity because this has none.”
Thank you for your response! If Heavensake Junmai is too light or too simple of a flavor profile for you, we might suggest you try a rich and versatile Junmai sake such as Zuiyo Hojun. https://www.tippsysake.com/products/zuiyo-hojun-junmai?_pos=1&_sid=8034bfb59&_ss=r
“I agree with another reviewer that this is definitely not a traditional sake and feels like a blend between sake and wine. I did get a sort of salted caramel nose which was very interesting, but I'm not sure if this sake was for me, the acidity was too reminiscent of wine which I'm not as partial to.”
“Solid sake. It has a light, smooth taste that reminds me of wine, which isn't surprising given it was made by a winemaker. But definitely not a traditional sake flavor.”
