I was going to go to Home Depot, buy some pipe and fabricate my own, but then saw this one on-line. We are very happy with that decision. If you aren't moderately skilled with construction, you should probably ask a friend with skills to help install it. It did take some engineering to get it to the correct height that would work well for Our family. We decided 88" from ground to flat bar was the perfect compromise. Short people have to jump or use a stool to reach the bar, but our over 6'1" son with long arms can still use it without his feet hitting. We used 2X8s to create a saddle attached to a beam to get the correct height and strength. The only complaint / suggestion for product improvement would be with the grips etched into the bar. The flat portion of the bar has none, while the inside and angled portions have a very aggressive grip. Consistent grips all the way around would be better, but this really seems like a "first world problem."

Great price for a very well constructed and versatile bar. It only took one day for Titan to ship the order, so thanks for that. Couple of point to consider, the overall height of the product is 16 inches but that is if the bar is installed with the arc facing up. It is 21 inches if installed facing down like the image. Like other reviewers mentioned, additional bolts are required if mounting on wood. The hardware provided is intended to be used to mount on concrete. I did take my mounts to a local metal fabricator to adjust the height by an additional 8 inches. The reason for this is because i wanted to mount my bar facing up and in a very specific location and direction. It still came out cheeper than other similar items and i got exactly what i wanted. I mounted the bar on a long 2x6 that is laid on top of four joist. The extra length allowed me to clear the height of the joist and still mount the bar with arcing up with enough space to not hit my head. I also didn't have to worry about lining up the mounts exactly with the joists. My though is if you are installing a permanent item in your house, might as well spend the time and money to do it right.

I love this pull up bar. I actually mounted mine in the reverse way it shows in the images because I wanted to be able to do wide grip pull ups too. It’s sturdy and was easy to mount, plus it has many different grip variations.

Great pull-up bar. The mounting beams are burly steel and the multi grip bar is solid with a nice powder coat on it. It comes with expansion bolts for mounting in the ceiling— however what I did was take a 6’ piece of 2x12 and screwed that straight into 4 joists. Then bolted the pull-bar into the 2x12 with 3/8” bolts that I bought separately. Worked well and is very secure. A five star product but just thoughts for improvement. The knurling on the outside of the bar is super aggressive, while the knurling on the inside is perfect. The outside knurling is too much, in my opinion, especially for weighted pull-ups. The passive knurling used on the inner grips would have sufficed and been better. Just thoughts! Overall, awesome product, very happy with it.
