“This product was my first order from Titan. I tend to over review everything before I buy. A lot of the reviews I had read talked very poorly about the shipping and the condition the product was in when it arrived. After going back and forth in my head over getting this I finally decided I am just going to go for it and give it a shot. I am truly very pleased I did! The product showed up very fast, actually a day earlier than estimated. Even during this crazy covid time we are in. The box was in perfect shape and was actually shrink wrapped in plastic. After getting the plastic off the box, there were 4 straps going around the box that had tape over the top of them as well! So the packing was actually exceptional! After getting the product out of the box, I absolutely fell in love! The construction was great! The threads on the caps were great, and screwed in and out very nicely! And the finish was great! 5 stars without a doubt! I will definitely be ordering a lot more from Titan! P.s. just a tip on filling the globes. Lead shot is really expensive, and I really don't like sand, and it's hard to get the weight exact on both sides. So what I did was fill them with Penny's! If you put $100 worth of Penny's in it, it coast you nothing because you still have your $100!”

“Titan had told me prior to arrival the end caps (NOT the fill-bolts) are threaded but the bar isn't hollow and can't be filled. Turns out,... Mine arrived missing one endcap, but after the headache of loading wet sand in the globes, I'm not in the mood to look into permanent end caps (welded? 1.5" bolt for 1.75" bar?l to hold in more sand. I didn't weigh this before loading; with chains on homedepot hangall velcro straps, on a spring bathroom scale, my best guesses are 130lbs, under 80lbs chains, so something over 50lbs with globes packed with wet sand. East of the Rockies I think all packaged sand will be wet; I tried to coat the insides of the globes with motor oil, topped it off for bad measure; no idea what rust will do but I'm remindef of having to blow out compressor tanks after each use, so who knows. The cool thing about packing wet sand with your index finger is it instantly dulls the impressive gloss coating on tje globes, but a quick orbital polish should help a lot. Otherwise, you're saving over $200 - $400 on any other option I've seen online, for a bar that feels exactly as you'd imagine. I fit somewhere between 30 and 40 lbs of sand; if you feel like welding metal end caps you can put a lot more in the bar. Even at the disgusting $1.50\lb for reclaimed shot, I'd strongly suggest loading it instead; no mess, it will pour, and it's a lot easier to gauge the weight you're loadind, and theoretically it's reversible. It's worth the heavy metal poisoning to keep the high gloss finish.”
