The Marrs-Bar™ is a specialty training Olympic safety squat barbell outfitted with a built-in padded harness to reduce unnecessary strain on your upper body, shoulders, and joints. By distributing weight like a backpack, you will activate your glutes and hamstrings and increase your strength and power. With an ultra-comfortable polyurethane foam harness, you can squat more weight without discomfort in the neck and shoulders, common with traditional squat and power bars. The extended, wrapped handles and low bar, cambered design, along with the front handles, are positioned to reduce even more stress on your joints and increases the effectiveness of your barbell squats. “The bar is far superior to a regular SSB. It simulates low bar squats perfectly and without the shoulder pain. Front squats using the bar are also wonderful. However, after about 6 weeks of use, the polyurethane foam cracked right when it meets the shoulder. Every time I use it now for squats the crack gets worse and it somehow pinches my shirt. Titan’s customer support has not really provided a solution and they’re pushing back on a meaningful partial refund (I still want to keep the bar).”

“I lack the shoulder mobility to to perform low bar squats with a straight bar without great shoulder discomfort.. This bar is fantastic! I'm now also able to comfortably do front squats as well with the Marrs bar. I do Hatfield squats in power cage using "dip attachments" as handles to work on my depth. Love it!”

“Trying to do my 5's. Back squats with barbell caused my elbows and shoulders to ache with some nerve damage, making it difficult to get my bench/pressing done. I tried a SSB for a while, which altered my stance, tweaked the back and certainly didn't help the knees. Enter the Marrs bar: I was quite hesitant due to the high price and different versions. I searched around local gyms to try one, and even used within a certain radius, but to no avail. I saw it on Titan on sale, got the 10% off code, and of course, with free shipping, it made the next vendor's price over $100 higher, so, Merry Christmas to me! I again have confidence in making gains with my squat with comfort in troubled joints. It really does mimic the low bar placement and feel quite well. Easily my favorite specialty bar!”

“This came well packaged and intact. It does what all the reviews say it does. I can squat comfortably again. I’ve had each AC joint resected and the external rotation on the straight bar was too uncomfortable. This feels good, much better than my standard SSB. However, this is specked as silver zinc shaft. Its black paint does not look like powder coat and the finish is marred and irregular. The pad is just ok and should be nicer for the price. My experience with Titan was great. So IMO get this bar if you need it not because you want it. I’m sure with the competitive home gym market someone will make a better version, with far better finish, at a better price point.”

“I train 6 other people and everyone is impressed with this bar. At 66 and having had 2 shoulder and 2 elbow surgeries, this bar allows me to squat without pain and helps me to focus on my hips and legs. Fantastic bar !!!”

“The Marrs Bar is hands down the best squat bar I’ve ever used. I previously owned the Titan SSB and was very pleased but it doesn’t come close to this bar. Doing squats with the Marrs Bar is about as pain free as using the sled. It’s truly Amazing!!! If you push it to hard you can literally push off your quads with your hands just like the sled to get back up or to perform a few extra reps. Another feature I was very skeptical about was the reviews I read about doing front squats with this bar. Well the reviews were correct and I was blown away by how comfortable this bar is while doing front squats. My only concern now is the durability of the foam mold. After my 3rd workout I noticed a tear had developed in the padding where the bar rest on right shoulder in the back squat position. If this bar wasn’t so amazing I’d probably have requested a refund but I’m not sure I can live without one of these now so I worked with Ralph from Titan customer service to exchange the defective bar. Ralph and Titan were awesome and I received my new bar within a week of filing the claim. If it wasn’t for the tear I’d definitely give this 5 stars. I wish Mars still used the foam padding covered with vinyl just to avoid the possibility of this happening. That being said the molded padding is extremely comfortable and if I have to duck tape it up after a year I get it so I’m hoping this was just a fluke and the new bars padding holds up better.
