I ordered 30g of black truffle and a nicely packaged truffle arrived 3 days later.
The appearance of the truffle was good but it lacked scent and flavour.
I requested a refund or exchange but this was refused.
I was told that not all truffles have the distinctive qualities a discerning truffle buyer expects.
I'm not happy with the response I got but I know what Gordon Ramsey would have said had he been the recipient.
It's a shame Trufflehunter don't disclose this fact whilst their taking your order and your money.

“Completely and utterly disappointed. The truffles I received had absolutely no smell or taste. When tried to communicate this, no one was prepared to speak to me over the phone and insisted on email communication only. After a string of emails I gave up and binned the truffles as they were starting to go mouldy. I was asked to return them without any offer on return post service or any form of compensation. Will not be using this company again.”
