Great addition to my system. Deeper and clearer bass is very evident and vocals are richer and more detailed.

Upgraded from a old power conditioner from another company. I also purchased the recommended NRG-Z3 power cable and listened to both installed at the same time. Significant improvement in sound quality and excellent upgrade for my system. Hard to imagine getting this much improvement for so little of an investment. The background is blacker, bass is tighter and vocals are even more clear and I thought I was good in those areas. The unit seems built well and is easy to place in a variety of situations. I was going to purchase cables that cost more than the Niagra 1200, but took Upscales advice, glad I did.

Great! It took me about 2 1/2 weeks to get the components plugged in for best performance.

I'm very happy with the audible improvement from this addition. I have Northern California;s notorious PG&E power, and this made a substantial difference. I'm rating it 4 instead of 5 only because I know AQ and others offer high-end units that might accomplish even more. But in my sort of upper-middle-class desktop headphone system, this seems a perfectly well-balanced match. Also it takes up little space – though it's a rack-sized component, you can stand it on end between a wall plug and a desktop system. (AQ Niagara–>iMac–>Roon or Primephonic–>Cardas USB–>RME adi-2–>Cardas XLR–>Pathos Aurium (+NOS Siemens+SBooster)–>Nordost Heimdall 2–>Focal Utopia–>Ears)

Purchased this about two weeks ago because my 20 year old PS Audio P600 Power Plant gave up the ghost and is ridiculously expensive to fix. I was not expecting too much given the price and my favorable experience with the PS Audio unit. This thing is great! Value far beyond its cost. It takes a week or so to settle in (or maybe it was the new power cord to the wall) but it improved the sound of my system more than the Power plant ever did. I guess power conditioning has improved some in the last 20 years. More detail, depth, separation, control and finesse at high and low frequencies. And here's the real trick, in addition to all of this, the music seems more relaxed-organic if you will.

I recently purchased the Niagara 1200 from Upscale/Kat. Connected my turntable/VPI ADS, and phono & line level preamps to it. Immediately, right out of the box, connected to an outlet via a vintage AudioQuest power cord, the Niagara exhibited its strengths. The noise floor significantly dropped, allowing all the music to appear unveiled and out of a much darker background. Bass tightened up and sounded richer, the top end was more open, imaging appeared more clearly delineated, perceived space and the ability to “hear into” the recording were clearly more tangible. I actually thought I had relatively clean power and little noise in my system, apparently I was wrong, the Niagara cleared this up for me. After a week of listening I added a 2 meter run of the AudioQuest Monsoon power cable and was again immediately introduced to improvements in sound resulting from a still quieter noise floor. None of these were subtle improvements. I consider the Niagara 1200 an essential and integral piece of gear for my system, one that ties everything together and improves the whole presentation. Recommended without reservation and a relative bargain for the price.
