“I was very disappointed in this purchase. Unlike the Levi / Positive Feedback Magazine review, the pair I received are extremely noisy in my Rogue Sphynx; easily heard at my listening position even when quiet music passages are playing. This was completely unexpected given the Levi review stating his samples exhibited an extremely black background. In addition, both tubes have occasional random noise bursts. That said, the pair I received came extremely well-matched from measurement standpoints as the data on each box showed, so Upscale is doing their part. I would think that the excessive noise would have shown up during their pre-sale testing, however. I put my stock tubes back in and they are at least low noise, if not the best sounding pair I have tried.”

“It is seemingly an improvement over the stock jj 12au7 installed in my preamp. Of course it could just be me wanting to hear a difference. Its difficult to do an A/B comparison. However, the ge Is quiet and it has lessened the hum I was hearing prior to using it, it is virtually absent now.”
