Replaced 1 failed tube with same brand/model matched pair, saving the old good tube for a spare. Primaluna amp handles the bias, so it was truly “plug and play”. The system sounds as good as ever.

I have tube rolled el 34’s, KT 150’s, KT 120’s, KT 88’s, and the Gold Lion KT 77’s. Though I like all of them to varying degrees for their various sonic signatures, I must say I like the KT 77’s best overall as they beautifully reproduce the entire frequency range in the most detailed, coherent, pleasant, accurate, and addictive way I’ve ever heard. The sound is captivating and draws you into the music in a way the other tubes can’t quit manage. I’ve been an audiophile for many years, and I’ve learned anything that gets your mind off of your system and into the song you’re listening to is the key to satisfaction. The Gold Lion KT 77’s, more than any other tubes I’ve tried, provide the satisfaction we’re all chasing. Give them a try. These tubes allow you to stop listening to your system and they let you enjoy the music itself!

From Electro-Harmonix to the Gold Lion, blew my mind. The highs were crisper and clearer, and the bass was unbelievable, I’m glad I spent the extra for these tubes. Looking forward to purchase the KT88’s down the road.

It's a warranty replacement tube for a brand new one that failed in less than 30 days. Because of the time frame required by the warranty replacement, I inserted the backup set of Sovtek 6550's into the PrimaLuna EVO300 integrated, and they've been there ever since -- I'm surprisingly happy with the 6550's. I'll be replacing them soon with the KT77's, and I'll let you know if everything is okay. I was very happy with the KT77's, but surprised that one failed so very quickly!
