“I was hesitant to do a tube review since they are so system dependent and personal preference. I bought a quad of these as my first tube rolling experience for my PrimaLuna EVO300 integrated. As always Upscale shipping and packing was quick and well packaged. The KT88's had a definite increase in dynamics, punch, openness and detail over the stock PL EL34's. However, in MY system, I am running older B&W CDM9NT's which can sound a little bright if the system is not matched correctly, the KT88's were just too bright for me and MY system. So back to the stock EL34's for now. Otherwise the GL KT88's were super quiet and dynamic.”

“Yep loved 'em. However some of the labeling on the tubes themselves was smeared. Kinda bummed me out.”

“The Tubes are Great. Mcintosh C22lll, MC75 Reissue, Klipschorn with After Market Mods. The Tubes made the Bass, Clarity, Detail Unbelieable. Upscale Audio is Great.”

“Well, I like them but I don’t love them. The 34s that came with my Dialogue Premium performed bass well but the midrange was simply outstanding. I thought the 88s would improve everything. I was wrong. But hold on. I only have a few hours on them so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt until I get to at least 100 hours before I go back to the 34s. I had installed some Brimars in the 2 pre amp slots. Saw improvement the right away. Subsequently installed the 88s and thought I would see same level of improvement but did not. Time will tell. As always Kat gave me great advice. Said wait and see after some settling in of the 88s and if still not happy we could work on midrange. Overall I love the PL Dialogue Premium and the great customer service at UA. Their tube service is flawless and they go above and beyond. Thanks”
