“In my Prima Luna Evo 300 These work very nicely with my voxativ drivers. Great bass response and articulation. Really smoothed the slightly peaky mid highs. Outstanding recommendation. I now have about 50 hours on these and they continue to open up. Still can’t get over this 20/40 watt tuber buries my 200 wpc McIntosh ss amp. Who knew.”

“The Gold Lion KT88's were the perfect upgrade for my Prima Luna Prologue Four. Compared to the EL34's: the sound stage has definitely expanded; sounds in a mix are more clearly defined, more detailed. The frequency range seems a bit more expanded, more balanced and accurate, esp. in the bass range. There may be slightly more power, but the overall effect is as described; very natural sound, which is why I LOVE tube amplification. They seem to live up to the general descriptions that I came accross in various reviews I've read when researching KT88 tubes, and I think the Gold Lions are probably the best.”

“My rig sounds better than ever! I didn't realize that my old tubes were fading out slowly, until one blew and I replaced all 4 tubes with the Gold Lion KT88s. Love my music again!”

“I like the EL34's WAY better, I'll give these six months and if I'm not wowed by them, I'm going back to EL34's. these 88's are shouty, somewhat, and don't seem to have the 3 dimensional effect like my old 34's, but than again there not broken in yet. i'm using a primaLuan evo 300 intergated amp with Focal kanta speakers. I really hope I'm wrong about these. With the EL34's I coundn't wait till the next day to play some music. I'm not there with these, as of yet anyway. Cheers .......... Jim”

“Bought a matched quad of these to replace the aging original tubes in a Line Magnetic KT88 integrated amp (model 216IA). The Gold Lions made a tremendous and immediately obvious improvement. They continue to improve as I pass 100 hours on them. Very, very pleased with this purchase.”
