So far I guess I’ve put on 60 hours on top of the 72 hour break in period at Upscale towards the Gold Lion KT 88 power tubes. The top end and midrange are fine. However the bottom end remains soft and fuzzy. I’m waiting for the “deep and dynamic” bass to emerge as described by Upscale.

I like these in my PL EVO 400, with 4 Brimars and 2 Vintage Mullards in the driver seat, it's perfect. I messed up the order and Upscale made it right with a 100.00 gift card. Awesome customer service.

Just replaced all the tubes in my ARC VT100 MkIII and the sound is amazing. This is the best this amp has ever sounded in my system.

I’ve purchased a total of eighteen Gold Lion KT88’s in the last 16 months. All 6 purchased from Upscale are still running strong. ONE HALF of the other 12 purchased elsewhere have already faulted. I’ve never had any issues with tubes from Upscale. Compared to other tube vendors I’ve learned the hard way, can’t get the same kudos from me.

I love the sound of these tubes. Running in two Primaluna EVO 100's, used to bi-amp B&W speakers. The sound is more muscular than the stock EL-34s, with a more defined and "slammy" bass, without losing too much on the top end. However, I bought a set of 9 tubes in July 2022 (one spare), and now in Dec 2022, with under 500 hours on the tubes, two of them have gone bad (in two different sockets on one amp). I'm wondering if Genalex are having quality control issues.
