“I had to modify my amp to use this particular quartet of Gold Lion KT88's. I found this frustrating since I have used Gold Lion KT88's in this amp previously (without modification) and enjoyed them. Once the modification was made, the amp sounded boring. I eventually ended up selling this particular set of Gold Lion KT88's at a substantial loss and returning my amp to its previous configuration.”

“Installed these in my Primaluna Evo 400 integrated amp, along with Gold Lion Platinum 12AU7s. Replaced stock EL34s. Bass is now full, down to very low frequencies; midrange very lush. I now realize the full potential of my Monitor Audio Gold 300s + SVS reference subwoofer. Also Sprach Zarathustra and Saint-Saens Symphony #3 (Organ Symphony) are incredible.”

“Okay, just installed these, and I love them. This is a Rock & Roll tube, a perfect tube for Metal. There is a chunky, deep, powerful sound coming from my speakers since I switched up from Mullard EL34s.”
