“Great tube. Purchased for a Decware SE34I.5 SET. This amp was shipped with EHel34's. Used these to break in the amp as well as an NOS 5U4. All sounding great. Decided to test some options. Installed a pair of (late 60's?) RCA 807's. A bit more sparkle than the EHel34's, but no changes in the bass. Next was the Mullard EL34's (cryo). Out of the box these were more enjoyable than the EH's. The bass was a bit deeper and more textured. I'm about half way through the break-in and they get slightly better each day. The Decware has power meters, true to form, the Upscale matching was perfect. I did read that these Mullards are tough to listen to before break-in. I found that to be not the case. It might be due to the architecture of the Decware, or it might be the the quality control of Upscale. My guess it's both.”

“These Mullard EL34s replaced the PL stock tubes in my Primaluna EVO 300 integrated amp. The tubes sound great. Only a relatively short burn-in period was required - 2 weeks of casual listening. The PL stock tubes also sound very good - I was looking for a reasonably priced tube to try some tube rolling just for the fun of it. Upscale processed the order really fast. Very satisfied.”
