“I'm new to this game of buying gear that is better than you're typical consumer grade Best Buy stuff. I enjoy my music and have always wanted a "good" stereo since I was a teenager and that was 5 decades ago. The PrimaLuna looks to be a fine piece of equipment that is robust, good looking and well built. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is maybe my expectations were too high. I have only had modestly priced SS amps in the past and my main music source are CD's. I was looking for that tubey experience and hoping to get more of warm and lush sound from my CD collection. Now I have a horrible room for acoustics and many spousal restrictions that I have to abide by and alot of my music is just hard to listen too and fatiguing. I don't play real loud, but between the bad room and poor recorded CD's it's tough. So anyway the Primaluna was definitely a step in the right direction. It is slightly warmer, has good crisp fast bass response and a wider and deeper soundstage than my past gear. It just doesn't make the bad stuff sound good, only tolerable and again it's my expectations and not the amps fault. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the wife thinks it's cool looking...so it's a win. I had never purchased from Upscale before and my buying experience was fast, efficient and a pleasant experience. Thank you.”

“Very nice tube amplifier! tip: replace the 12AX7 tubes with gold lion tubes. (more detail and more spacious) for the rest just leave in the PL tubes.”

“I've put about 85 hours on my new PrimaLuna Evo 100, and I am truly amazed to say the least. I noticed a jump up in SQ at about the 30 hour and 80 hour levels. It has put my whole music listening experience on a higher plane than I ever thought was possible. Thanks!!!”

“Absolutely in love. What can I say? My first tube amp and it sounds amazing with my Tannoy XT 8F speakers and Fluance RT 85 turntable. Listening to all my records again with my jaw hanging open......I know better sound can be had with a bigger budget, but sitting here listening to a first UK press of Pink Floyd Animals sounds pretty gorgeous! Cheers!”
