“I own a simple, single-tube headphone amplifier (Aune T1) that came with a fairly basic new Russian-made tube (Electro-Harmonix 6922EH). The sound on the OEM tube was not great, in particular the low frequencies sounded like someone threw a dart at the frequency and then generated a tone, rather than that there was an _instrument_ playing at that frequency. With this tube the entire frequency range sounds very clear and warm. I can't speak to other similar tubes, but there were other folks who bought the same amplifier reporting that they had tried quite a few tubes, and they also settled on this tube and were very happy.”
