“Great power tube for Audio Research amps; good bass control, good midrange presence. Upscale Audio very helpful with info on both power and preamp tubes.”

“My Rodgers High Fidelity EHF 100 is rated at 65 watts in class A at 4 ohms, per channel. Thank you for advising me to purchase a musical, rugged power tube for class A use. The four 6550w's were burned in for 100 hours with great musical/mechanical results. The output transformers hum less. I like that. Best result realized is clear, natural audio reproduction. Small bump in the mid-range. Great results with turntable or digital. A pleasant change from KT88's lower frequency sonic signature. The 6550w's has a lighter, airy feel.”
