Self Adhesive Chalkboard Contact Paper - 18" x 96" Roll Reviews

This chalkboard contact paper can be written or drawn or doodled on with chalk markers, such as the bonus VersaChalk Liquid Chalk Marker that's included with this paper, as well as with regular chalk. The neat thing about chalk markers is that, unlike regular chalk, they do not create dust, and once the liquid chalk ink has dried, it doesn't easily smear the way something written or drawn with regular chalk would smear. This is why the combination of chalk makers and chalkboard contact paper is ideal for creative, fun labels, crafts, and many other uses. Marks made with VersaChalk chalk markers on VersaChalk contact paper can be erased with a damp cloth or ammonia-based cleaner, leaving the contact paper ready for re-use. I find it helpful to have an X-Acto knife or a similarly thin blade handy when using the contact paper, to start a place where the backing can be peeled off. Once the backing is peeled off, the contact paper seems to stick to pretty much anything that one would stick any ordinary label on or any other type of contact paper. My 7 year old granddaughter has created labels with this set for various objects and items in her make-believe salon (e.g., a tip jar!). Based on her use of this set and my 5 year old grandson's experiments with it, I would say this is a kid-friendly set, though I like to supervise my grandchildren's use of it, mainly to make sure they re-cap the chalk marker and allow ample time to allow the chalk marker ink to dry.

I was so excited to get this in the mail! I have recently started doing crafts and I have been using chalkboard paint and I am learning how difficult it is. Now that I have this chalkboard contact paper I don't have to worry about the mess and hassle of the paint. This is easy to use with my Silhouette machine to cut whatever design I need. I love that this is 8 feet long so that I am able to use it on more items. It is easy to apply as well as remove. I can use my regular chalk as well as my chalkboard markers with this paper.

Got this item to put into a frame for my daughter to have a color station. Very cute easy to apply to surfaces and easy to cut out. Very easy to clean off with a wipe. Will have such a fun time and a bunch of different uses! Includes a white chalk pen that has a nice color base and very little streaking!

I ordered this for our kitchen-I want to put a chalkboard on the side of the pantry cabinet for things like a grocery list and chore list, however my hubby didn't want me to paint it. This contact paper is the perfect solution. It allows me to have my chalkboard list and not worry about painting on an oak cabinet. The paper is easy to install and easy to write on. When using the chalk marker, remember you will need water to remove it.

This is a fantastic alternative to heavy, awkward, clunky old fashioned chalkboards! I absolutely adore this, as does my 2 and a half years old daughter! First of all, it arrived very quickly and it also came well boxed and protected, very professional! It is also a huge surprise when you actually see it and touch it even though you have been trying to picture it in your head for a few days lol! Super lightweight, literally a vinyl contact "paper" with the sticky backing under the wax paper like protective sticker backing, rolled up like wrapping paper or wax paper and in the same kind of small thin box NOT what you picture when you imagine a chalkboard. However, fear not it incredibly works just like one! In my opinion it is better because of its portability and ease of "installation" not to mention you are also able to take it off the wall and stick it elsewhere should you need or choose to! Simply an ingenious idea!

I have recently come to discover Chalkboard papers and stickers along with Chalk Markers. I am totally enthralled with them - sooo many uses from the kitchen to the bathroom, laundry to toys, seeds and beeds to tool storage and more. Just sooo versatile! I LOVE this contact paper! We're building a Makerspace, this paper will be an awesome addition for a bulletin board area. I can foresee a need to buy several more rolls for our project. It's just that useful! I've been cutting out sections from this big roll for many areas. I cut several long strips to label the front of our tool chest and I cut sections for my husband's fishing tackle. Now he knows where his bobbers from his lead weights are organized in his tackle box. I even cut sheets out for tackle trays I use for seed storage - now all my seeds are labeled. I used different color chalk markers to denote herbs from vegetables and early spring sowing from late harvest sowing. I even put a section of this roll on a binder so I could custom doodle on the binder and KNOW the subject of the binder from an easy glance. Very nifty indeed!

This chalkboard contact paper is exactly what I needed for a craft project of turning picture frames into chalkboards. This material works great with chalkboard markers, unlike the paint on chalkboards that often stain with chalkboard markers. I also appreciate this product coming with a chalkboard marker for anyone who hasn't tried them before. Pros: Easily peels of the backing Backing offers grid lines for straight cuts Easily peeled off the glass when I didn't place it properly and didn't leave any residue Bubbles were easy to push out Chalkboard markers wiped off the surface easily and didn't leave any staining Cons: I haven't found any so far

I guess I'm late to the party with this craftsy supply! My friends at work have done stuff with it, but this was my first try. I immediately set about playing with this chalkboard contact paper to see what I would discover. What I can see here is tons of potential to create projects that can constantly be used to express yourself. I envision this for kitchens, kids' rooms, the garage and more. I'm at the beginning of this exploration, but I must admit I am tickled by all the possibilities and I know I'll be a return customer. If you enjoy expressing yourself with your own innovative designs, I definitely recommend giving this stuff a try and see where the media will take you. Love it!
