“A friend wore these for golfing as she wanted to have a pair that would keep her dry during the wetter months of the golf season. I saw them in 'action' while she golfed and was very impressed by how the water washed right off them without the shoe getting wet. She sent me the link, and I ordered them online. Love the fact that it fits true to size, as my Size 6 fit like a glove, and was very comfortable. I did have a bit of trouble getting them on but I used a shoe horn and that helped. Maybe it's because the pair is so new, but so far, having worn them once for golf, I'm loving them. They are light, yet they grip well on the course, they are comfortable and best of all, they keep you dry. Not sure how they will work for wearing for longer periods of time (say walking around as a traveller/tourist) in the future, but am sure they will stand up for a longer period of time.”

“First, the best online exchange process I've ever used. After sending in proof of mailing the original shoes back (too big), my new shoes were placed in the mail. No waiting for them to receive the other pair! Great and fast communication as well.
As for the shoes, I was expecting a bit more of a high quality look. This is mainly to do with the sole being mainly foam. After wearing for a few weeks I kept trying to figure out why sometimes I had great grip and sometimes it was slippery. I finally figured out it is because the sole isn't completely rubber. The middle part is foam and isn't as durable and doesn't have great grip. It was disappointing to realize only the toe and heel have the good rubber grip. The middle foam bit is already wearing away after a month or so. Why not make the whole sole the same material?
Still giving the shoe 4 starts because they are indeed waterproof and that's what my main goal was in purchasing these, and the customer service is outstanding.”

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We have carefully read your review and understand that the shoes were not up to your expectations.
To help explain our shoes are little better, we actually use a EVA foam because it is a very lightweight and comfortable material. Since Vessis are an everyday comfortable shoe, we figured that having it be lightweight was important. With that said we understand that you'd prefer a completely rubber midsole and will certainly keep this in mind for our future styles.
“I like how easy it is to put on and how comfortable the soles feel. I can wear these shoes day to day and they look stylish. Only thing I would want for these shoes is to have half sizes. If I go up a size it was was too big, and now I went down a size it feels just a little bit tight. Great shoes for walking a dog in the spring/fall time.”

“I ordered the everyday lace up because my sister highly recommended them (she has the pull ons but they were out of my size 6).
I slipped them on and they felt light and warm. The elastic ankle is a bit snug but I expect it to form to my feet after a few wearings.”

It is normal for the ankle-opening to feel snug at first but the band will stretch out after several wears. This is to help create that perfect fit around your ankle to reduce the chance of water getting in from the top.
“These shoes are really comfy and fit true to size. I do find that they're a little difficult to slip on, so be aware of this if you're looking for something easy and quick to pull on. They're tight around the ankle at first by they adjust after a couple times wearing them”

You're right! It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start. Over the first few wears of your shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. Hopefully, you're enjoying your Vessi!
