“I had pre-ordered the oak weekend shoe and was super excited to get it, I ordered a size 8 as recommended in the Vessi website but unfortunately it was too large! They were great about the return / exchange but I no longer had the option to order the oak brown ( which was a huge disappointment after waiting so long initially after preordering ) I received the same shoe in black in a size 7 which fit much better. They are a great waterproof shoe and feel warm for the cooler weather.”

When you just get them the opening (including where the upper hits the back of your foot) is quite tight. It takes a few wears for it to stretch and adapt to your foot. In the meantime, if you're wearing them sock-less, you could try putting some vaseline where they rub to help with the friction. Otherwise a band aid should also help create more separation between your skin and the shoe.
We don't have any plans to make half sizes currently, but we're always tallying size requests from you guys as they come in demand! Thanks so much for letting us know to get the ball rolling.

Yes, the waterproof feature of the shoes stops at your ankle so make sure you don't jump into deep puddles! As for the laces, you can definitely replace them with longer laces or use a lace stopper to keep them tied. Hope this helps!
