“The Weekend has me sold as a future return customer. I wanted to buy a water proof shoe for the occasional rainy weather, for trips to rainy locales, and looked good in most casual outfits. I'm usually a 9 for a loose fit, as I want a roomy toe box. (I used to buy 8.5 but that created more blisters than not.) I wore a size 9 for 2 weeks in 65 degree F weather in sunny CA, as well as for a whole week in Miami in humid 75 degree weather (6 miles walking a day).
Pros
-Stylish
-Very comfy and cushiony from the start
-Some of the best arch support in a casual, every day shoe I've found
-Great in puddles and sand (walked on the beach with no issues and sand didn't get it in!)
-The top half is more off-white, so though the shoe does get scuffed easily, the marks aren't terribly noticeable. (Also if you're getting white shoes, you know you're gonna need to do maintenance.)
-Keeps warm in chilly weather
Cons
-Back-lip of the shoe does touch your ankle, as other reviewers say, so I made sure to buy crew socks. I was willing to make the investment.
-If you like slim, fitted shoes, these shoes are slightly chonky babies if you go with a loose fit (sizing up). Luckily, that look is in, though I had to get used to it. (I was used to my slim-fitting, stretchy Suavs, though they have no arch support, sadly.) Just remember that these are water proof, so the material needs to be thick for it to work.
-My feet did get a little sweaty in humid Miami water, which was to be expected, but I thought it breathed fine
-If you have big toes like I do, expect a breaking in period.
Overall, I love these shoes. I'm trying to take better care of my feet when it comes to walking long distances and I made a good investment. Thinking of buying the Every Day Classic next!”
