Super Suet Fat Balls Reviews

With 50% more fat than our traditional Suet Fat Balls, our Super Suet Fat Balls are a firm favourite with garden birds and an extremely popular choice in most peoples' gardens. They are a valuable source of energy for a wide range of species, with the Tit family especially enjoying them. Made up of mealworm powder, peanut & wheat flour, finely ground & mixed with the suet, giving a pale finish. Beware of cheap suet balls as they can be mixed with sand, grit or sweepings to bulk them out

I liked the speed of delivery and reasonable price of the fat balls, but I'm not so keen on the speed with which they are disappearing from my bird feeders!!

I learnt a few years ago that birds will not eat cheap fat balls and have since been feeding RSPB ones, which they do enjoy. However, I have found that Vine House Farm fat balls are just as popular, so surmise that they are of the same quality as the RSPB ones, while being a little cheaper. The birds are happy and so am I! Now just have to find a way of restricting greedy pigeon access to the bird table!

The birds definitely love these suet balls. I've had to put them in a squirrel-proof feeder otherwise the starlings demolish the lot before the small birds can get to them. I hadn't seen sparrows in the garden for a long time but since they discovered the suet balls I now have sparrows here regularly. The blue tits also used them continuously when they had young in the nest. Highly recommended.
