“I was very lucky to be able to buy this blender recently at a much lower price than it is currently selling for. I'm impressed with it so far, from blending frozen bananas into creamy ice cream in a few seconds, making almond and cashew nut milks, making hummus and pates, blending dates and almonds with cocoa to make raw truffles, and of course making smoothies, it has managed everything effortlessly. It's biggest plus point for me is the ease of cleaning it - water and a bit of washing up liquid blended for 30 seconds, a quick rinse of the jug and you're done. I'd much rather blend fruits and vegetables into smoothies now than tackle cleaning the juicer! The only drawback I've found to blending harder fruits like apples is that if you leave them blending too long to get a smoother consistency it can create unpleasantly warm smoothies - adding ice or frozen bananas definitely helps. The accompanying recipe booklet provides ideas for smoothies, soups and ice creams.”

“Saw a blender at the Ideal Home show that made soups and Icecream, but didn't want to pay the huge price ticket that came with it. So I went online and found the BioChef. It is just as good as the one demonstrated at the exhibition but a quarter of the price. Very happy is a bit of an understatement.”

“I am just getting to know this blender and so far have tried smoothies, nut milk, and nut butter. The item looks like a very sturdy professional quality blender, it is not too noisy in use (though obviously a powerful motor will make some noise). The tamper to move the ingredients along is a good feature. The controls are very easy to operate and I like the water resistant cover over the off-on switch. There are some good ideas in the recipe book that comes with the unit, though the language in some of them is a bit odd and could be improved to proper English. All in all I am very pleased with the product so far and this model was a real bargain, I guess because they have brought out a newer model. Looks super duper on my kitchen counter and I am planning lots of adventures with raw food.”

“I would love to give the blender a "very good" rating as it grinds, purees and pulverises very well. I have not made a nut butter yet. It is sometimes hard to get stuff out from the base, but really it looses a star because "IT IS SO LOUD IT IS ALMOST INTOLERABLE" I do not use it late in the evenings as i worry my neighbours will think we are drilling. But I have used it everyday to make hummus, smoothies or soups.”
