Very pleased with the purchase. Sold my Hi Temps for a 370 pound set of the alphas. Was the right move. They are sweet and solid!

Alpha Bumper set V2 Compared to the Rogue bumpers they Alpha bumper is quieter when landing on the platform, doesn't bounce as high and takes up less space. They slide on/off the barbell easy and the speckled color scheme makes it fast to ID the plate you want.

I moved into a new townhome with shared walls, so deadlifting in my garage was a concern for noise and vibration. I specifically chose the Alpha bumpers over everything else on the market for the ~30% reduction in noise, and I can testify it lives up to that hype. I almost always lower them down with control instead of dropping them from the top position, so I can't say what they would be like from overhead. But I used to use Rogue HG bumpers and, even with control and stall mats, I could hear and feel the house shake a bit. Now I have no concerns over disturbing my neighbors on deadlift day, it's so much quieter. Aside from that, the bumpers are just awesome to use and I love the unique coloring on them — it wouldn't pay just for color, but it was a huge plus. Plus, the smaller 10lb bumper is probably the cutest weightlifting equipment you'll ever buy :) I also bought the Vulcan Prime 3x3 bench and that thing is solid as a rock. Easy enough to put together, and I have no concerns with it failing at any point.

While researching to build my basement home gym; I came across a bumper plate review on youtube comparing Vulcan and Rogue black bumper plates. I really wanted indoor and outdoor capabilities, durability, low bounce and of course factoring cost. I took a risk after reading the reviews of the Alphas and could not be more happy with my choice. The low bounce is hands down better than any rouge bumper I have ever used, and well, the colors add a nice touch to the small space. I will be outfitting my basement gym with a lot more Vulcan gear.

These came as part a set I ordered and they are super sturdy so far and will be used quite a lot by my wife and myself. I went with the upgraded plates because I want these to last for years and because they will be dropped on concrete. This is an investment that will pay itself off within the first 6 months or so of use. Thank you!
