“When I initially received the Vulcan 28.5mm standard barbell, my first thought was, "wow, I wish I had purchased the barbell when I first started lifting a year ago". This bar is extremely "grippy" and feels secure when performing deadlifts, bent over rows and any other pulling movements. The bar feels great with pressing movements as well but for me, the extra grip security on the pulls is more important to me. My previous box store barbell is now on the landmine and I use the standard for all other lifts. If you are on the fence about purchasing the barbell, go for it, you won't be disappointed.”

“It seems like most reviews get written shortly after purchase. So I thought it might be a good idea to write a review after several years to communicate how the item held up over time and use. My Vulcan Standard Bar was purchased on Cyber Monday after Thanksgiving of 2016. I love this bar. The zinc coating has all held up over time and the knurl is just a little more aggressive than other crossfit bars which is a good thing. I use it for powerlifting and crossfit type moves. I sold my Rogue bars on Craigslist and got 2 more Vulcan bars...the curl bar which is awesome, and the Absolute Power Bar which is for me the King of All Bars. Good company, good products.”

“I bought this for my boyfriend on cyber Monday because they had a sale going on. He seems to like the bar a lot. He was debating on rogue barbells or fringe sports, but after extensive research, he decided on this one because of the price and quality. Only complaint is that the container that the barbell came in broke apart, but the barbell didn't seem damaged. Hoping to see more sales because this company makes quality equipment!”

“I purchased the Vulcan Standards 28.5 mm men's barbell on Cyber Monday 2016. I had some online trouble with the order, perhaps from high volume on Cyber Monday, so I called the company and spoke to friendly rep. who put through my order online and then emailed me a confirmation. My bar came a few days later. The packaging was damaged but not the bar. I did a workout of deadlifts, muscle snatches, clean & jerks to test out the bar. Love it. The knurl is more aggressive than my Rogue 2.0 but not like a power bar. Its definitely a crossfit bar. I would say the quality, look, feel and function of the bar is about equal to Rogue's for a similar price. I would recommend Vulcan to anyone looking to purchase a crossfit or all around barbell.”
