With a power usage of just 7 watts and featuring a 120° beam angle the R63 is the best direct replacement for 60w halogen reflectors. As it comes with a standard E27 fitting, you can swap these over directly with your old halogen bulbs and make savings of up to 90% immediately. Unlike its R80 counterpart, it is not dimmable. This 90% running cost reduction can also be accompanied by the 10% bulk buy saving on buying 5 or more units. Alongside both cost savings, you can also benefit from the range of discount codes that are available for LED spotlights, LED light bulbs and all LED strip light related products. Introducing ProLED The incredible ProLED range of LED reflector bulbs has greater energy-efficiency than ever before. You’ll be getting more lumens for your energy usage, leading to a brighter and more eco-friendly bulb. Thanks to the innovative new heat sink, the ProLED range will last much longer, with tens of thousands of hours of usage available. Saving Money With The Newest Lighting Technology This R63 LED reflector manufactured by Mirrorstone sports 12 super high power SMD LEDs so you can replicate the same brightness and effect of what you already have installed. With a flat LED array and the nature of the SMDs, you can achieve a wide 120° spread of light. On top of this wide beam angle, you get a bright 610 Lumen output to fully replicate 60w reflector bulbs. Like all of our E27 light bulbs and reflector bulbs you have the option of two colour variations; Warm White (3000K) and Cool White (6000K). Warm White is the colour that is closest to traditional halogen bulbs being a soft white. It is generally used in living areas such as dining rooms and living rooms as well as bedrooms and hallways. Warm White is also the colour that is most recommended for traditionally styled rooms. The other option available, Cool White, is used in rooms where a clearer light is needed. Rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens are an example where you would install Cool White lights. Cool White is also usable in working environments such as offices and warehouses. How Warm White is generally recommended for traditionally styled rooms and decor, Cool White is recommended for more modernly designed rooms. Extra Long Life Expectancy And How LEDs Do It Using so little power, all LEDs have a longer lifespan than any other lighting solution, boasting up to a 50,000 hour life span. This can mean they last for up to, and maybe even above, 25 years! That's up to 25 years of massively reduced lighting costs. How LEDs last so much longer than any CFL or halogen bulb due to its ability to manage its heat better, where halogen bulbs use 90% of their power in heat energy LEDs use over 90% in light energy. LED manufacturer CREE used a chocolate bunny, and LED light bulb and incandescent light bulb to demonstrate the difference,

We decided to replace five 60W reflector lamps in the kitchen with the equivalent LED lamps. The appearance is almost identical; rated at only7W - so a reduction from 300W to 35W, a great saving. I ordered the lower intensity output because they give a warmer white, but the output has a slight tinge of the 'blue-ish' or hard whiteness of a flourescent tube. It's nowhere near as pronounced as from an old fashioned flourry tube. and is quite acceptable. I guess we will get used to it in a few days.

Bright wide angle of illumination colour towards the blue end for warm white despite the 3000k rating. I have found a wide variation in 3000k rated LEDs

Have only just fitted these bulbs but the initial impression is very good. They provide more light than the standard spot light bulbs they replaced (and which blow in monotonous regularity). Hopefully the LED lights will last considerably longer. They certainly consume a lot less power.

Bought 8 warm white (3000 lumen) for installation in my kitchen. Great quality & solidly built You can't really compare the warm white LED's and normal lamps, so I'm glad I choose this lamp over its higher rated cool white (6000 lumen) version. Let's hope the reduced energy costs start to show themselves soon !

Have had 4 down lights fitted in our kitchen for a number of years and recently considered fitting new units with LED fittings, the cost of providing 4 complete new units was fairly expensive considering that I might also have to purchase adapter units to allow the units to be fitted into the original cut-outs. Searching the internet I came across replaceable LED bulb units to fit into the existing down light fittings, I then had the choice of lamp colours warm white or cool white, I chose cool white and am highly impressed with the results and the light output. .

Initial reaction was that the bulb was brighter than the 'normal' spotlight it replaced. However, these bulbs seem to have a wide beam, which means that it doesn't reach as far as the originals. I have a high ceiling, and the light levels at counter height were significantly lower than the originals. A bigger problem was the radio interference. My FM radio had a constant buzz when the lights we on (and the radio was 8/10 meters away). If you need a wide beam, and don't listen to the radio these might be ok for you. For me they're no good. I'm going to try an expensive named brand to see if the radio interference can be eliminated.
