“The most valuable aspect of the unit is fun, either alone or in a group. It is a brief conversation piece. With average size corks, the unit does extract the cork and then discharge the cork. The vacuum is more questionable. I have not put wine aside for a week to see if it is compromised while kept under the vacuum. Day to day use with the same bottled wine appears to oxygenate the wine with each opening.”

“The unit is good looking, charges well after each use and removes the wine cork effortlessly. The air remover , foil cutter and wine aerator also work very well but the included rubber corks do not. The vacuum does not stay overnight with the included corks. The longer and slightly wider gray rubber corks which I have from a manual air removal system do hold the vacuum and work well with this electric unit. The metal collar, narrow rubber corks which come with this unit need redesign to better retain the bottle vacuum.”

“This opener is very nice and is easy to operate. I have had it for two weeks so i haven't opened a lot of bottles with it. During the first week a brass bushing with a collar on it fell out from around the corkscrew and i pushed it back in place and it has remained in since then. Don't know if this will occur again and if it will become a problem.”

“I like the way the unit removes the cork and then automatically unscrews the cork. The vacuum unit however leaves a lot to be desired.. The vacuum works fine but it is difficult to remove the unit from the stopper. I have tried wetting it to no avail. Most of the time i lose the vacuum trying to remove it. The aerator is not very good; i much prefer my Venturi. But I'm happy with it for removing corks. I'll use the vacuum and aerating equipment I already have.”

“I have only used it a half a dozen times but so far it works great. everything you need is right there and appears to be top quality. longevity? we'll see as time goes on.”
