“The wine glasses DO improve the varietal characteristics. Although Riedel says they are dishwasher safe, I never put them in there because 1) they are too tall, and 2) they get etched by the detergent. I have the Mondavi brand of varietal specific glasses, but the Riedel are a step above with their wonderfully thin rims and gorgeous, clear crystal.”

“Sign up for the email updates and catch the "free shipping" weekends. Dishwasher safe ONLY if your dishwasher drys with hot air (Bosch) and NOT with an electrical element at the bottom of the "tub". My everyday stems are more than ten years old and pass for brand new.”

“Best to wash by hand. They are delicate but that is what makes it a nice wine glass. Nice enough to be used with china and casual enough to use everyday.”
