I wanted some high end wine glasses and decided on the Zalto. It is a beautiful glass and a pleasure to drink from making the wine enjoyment a great experience. The only problem was how fragile the glass is. After many uses and very careful hand washing the stem just snapped when my wife was hand washing them. As much as I enjoy the glass I would not buy them again. Simply too fragile and too thin a stem.

No doubt that i was hesitated at first place. then i read many reviews about this zalto glass, and bought 2 bordeaux to see how they re like. Not just the quality but the customer service was oustanding. Will get the universal and burgendy next. Just cafeful when u hand wash them. I only had this for 2 weeks.

I first used these glasses at restaurant Akalere in San Sebastien Spain. When I came home I immediately ordered some from Wine Enthusuast. They are beautiful, amazingly delicate, and make all red wine taste as it should. I have been using Riedel Sommelier's prior which are great but these are the best ever!

Actually had a couple of them for a year or two as recommended by a wine columnist. The dined recently at marvelous (very expensive) restaurant in London: Helene Darroze at the Connaught. They use these glasses to good effect. Bowled over! Returned home. Bought half a dozen (Bordeaux) when we returned to our New York apartment. Bowled over again. Expect them to float around the dinner table if we don't hold onto them.

Yes, there are a number of wine glasses out there that are arguably better value propositions but if one wants sheer elegance, lovely esthetics along with an enhanced tasting experience then these should be your choice. Actually, in view of their quality they represent more than a fair value for the price.
