Best wine glass ever! Was skeptical but, they do enhance the enjoyment. No comparison on the bouquet!

Best darn glass for Pinot I have ever tasted from. Have the glasses in both of our homes. A must to try and then buy!

I've purchased 6 Zalto glasses (3 Burgundy, 2 Bordeaux, and 1 Universal) and still have 5. The Burgundy glass is spectacular, and I was sick to have broken one while washing it. It seems by far the most delicate of all the Zalto glasses, perhaps because the bowl is huge. These glasses are, in fact, quite thin, which is part of the appeal. A big, clunky glass gets in the way of the wine itself. It sounds pretentious, but it's true. Aside from dropping the glass, I can't imagine how one would break it other than while washing it, and I've discovered that the secret to protecting it while washing is to hold it by the stem near the bowl, NOT near the foot. Because the glass is so thin, the bowl is the weakest part, and holding it near the foot under a steady stream of water (let alone filling the bowl with water) is an accident waiting to happen. If I hold it properly, I'm able to safely scrub the inside and outside of the glass with a brush, rinse it clean, and dry and polish it with a microfiber cloth. I absolutely believe these glasses are worth the price, but you cannot handle them the same way you handle your everyday Crate & Barrel glasses. They won't stand up to indiscriminate washing or indiscriminate guests.

Very elegant and a nearly weightless balance. No matter what your hesitation, you need these glasses. No gimmick, they make any wine taste better in side by side comparison.

As beautiful as it is functional. Feels weighless. Perfect for old Piedmonte wines.
