Great Chardonnay. Value for money.

This wine is outstanding given its price point, and holds its own against Chardonnays priced up to twice as much. This wine is made using traditional French methods: it is fermented on its own yeasts in old oak barrels. The result is a medium-bodied wine with little bit of subtle oak influence and wonderful acidity to match. It is also drier than virtually all other NZ chardonnays in this price bracket. Kumeu River follow the same approach with their slightly more expensive, slightly fuller-bodied Village chardonnay. If you find yourself buying cheap Mâconnais and bored with “weekday” NZ chardonnays, give this a try. Cheaper, local and better than most!

We love this Chardonnay ! It’s our go to time after time. It’s big bold and sassy, and a great price as well!

I bought this as a gift for my Mother, she was delighted to be introduced to the Main Divide (Waipara) Chardonnay and has raved about it to me. She enjoyed it very much and will purchase it again.
