“I have made a few of these. They turn out nice. The instructions need to make the saw kerf deeper than listed. I consistently have to re-saw the kerf up to 1/8 deeper.”

“Great little craft project. Clear and easy to read instructions. I made a whole batch-butcher block style with different species wood harvested from my farm. The family loved them for xmas gifts. I recently had a custom branding iron made also, so I put " MY " brand on them. Made it a little more personalized for the family. Overall well made kit and easy to make.”

“Really good product. Only thing I would mention is that the measurement for the kerf slot in very dependent upon how accurate the hole depth is drilled. After the first one I wound up measuring the slot distance for each kerf individually. I had the drill press set exactly the same for each piece, but the distance was not the same on any of the boards. However In do think these make great gifts.”

“I had to set up a jig to get the hole drilled, off just a little, had to make the kerf just a tad deeper to let the wire clear. This particular kit only had one wire so had to go back to replace the wire that broke on instalation. Came in a set of 4. My family loves it. My only suggestion is an extra wire in the kit and maybe some kind of drill guide. I will make a drill guide for my next one.”
